Whistling in the Dark pgs. 100-200

Sally begins to question everyone she can about Rasmussen being the murder suspect. She talks to Wendy about it, and she believes that Rasmussen was the one who hurt Wendy. Then one day Sally is walking home and gets grabbed by someone with a pillowcase over their head, and the person tells Sally he loves her, and Sally assumes it's Rasmussen. The next day is the 4th of July, and a very important day for Troo, because she always wins the bike decorating contest. When they first get to the park Greasy Al torments Troo, and tries to ruin her bike, and tells Troo he'll hurt her later. Eventually Troo and another boy tie for the bike decorating contest, and Troo gets in a fist fight with the boy over the coonskin cap that's the 1st place prize. Sally then realizes people let them get away with more because their mom is sick, and they feel sympathy for the sisters. Then Sally loses Troo (but learns she was down at the lake with the boy she likes) so she talks to Ethel, who becomes a helping hand later in the 100 pages. She then can't find Troo, so she chooses to do the gunny sac race with someone else, which in the end makes Troo mad. They then watch fireworks with Eddie and Nell, and go home, but stop at the drugstore first. They get a shake there, and Sally decides she loves Henry Fitzpatrick. He then tells them that Sara (the little girl who recently died) is his cousin, and begins to cry, and that's when Sally decides her and Troo have to go to the funeral. Rasmussen sees them on their way home and tells them they have to stay at their grandma's, but instead they go over to Ethel's and spend the night. When Troo falls asleep Sally sneaks over to Rasmussen's house and sees he has a picture of Junie on his wall, which makes her for sure Rasmussen killed her. She wakes up Ethel, who tells her that Junie was his beloved niece, and she needs to stop thinking that way. The next morning they go to the funeral, but Sally ends up going with Rasmussen. He tells Sally that Hall is in jail because he killed the man he worked for. And since Hall can't pay rent anymore, they have to move out of the house. Sally assumes they'd go to an orphanage, but Rasmussen insists that Troo and Sally stay with him, which is basically Sally's worse nightmare.
