She started to spend more and more time with Rhett and every time he came to visit he would bring gifts. She began thinking that she may possibly have more feelings for Rhett, but then she remembered how much she cared for Ashley. The war was starting to be questionable for the Confederacy and supplies to the South were beginning to be hard to come by.Rhett somehow always found a way to get the people what they needed and soon was becoming to be quite popular amongst the people. After a short period of time he began to do things that would upset the people so he didnt lose his reputation for being bad. The people once again did not approve of him, but Melanie said that he was a gentleman and she would never not allow him in her house. Scarlett was glad at this and surprised. Finally at Christmas, Ashley came home. Scarlett wanted to have alone time with him but didnt get to until he left. Right before he was leaving, she told him that she loved him and always would. He was glad at this, yet also ashamed for he already had his wife. After he left scarlett knew that he must love her. They then got a letter saying that Ashley was missing. Ashley had gotten the option to leave the prison camp and become a soldier with the war against the indians, but he said no. Deadline pgs. 1-100

The story starts off with Ben Wolf getting the news he only has a year to live. He decides not to tell his parents, even though his doctor thinks he’s crazy for not doing so. He says he never felt like he was supposed to grow old, and knows that it would kills his family if he told them. Ben’s mom is “crazy,” and from what I’ve picked up on, an alcoholic, and possibly on drugs. His dad isn’t home very much, but Ben’s very close to his older brother, Cody. Ben decides to go out for football this year, instead of cross-country. This is a big surprise to everyone because Ben was a good runner, and a shoe-in for state cross-country. He’s also really small, and everyone expects him to get smashed on the team. To everyone’s surprise, he’s really good at football. The girls of his dreams, Dallas Suzuki, also ask Ben to homecoming. This actually pains Ben, because he starts to realize that he’s dying, and doesn’t have much time left. Even though he lives with this news, he’s surprisingly calm, and talks it one day at a time. He also has continuous dreams with a man named Jesus, pronounced like Hey-soos. In the dreams he has discussions with Jesus, and tries to find answers about his life. The end of the 100 pages was Ben on his way to one of the hardest football games of the year.

Tell No One 101-200

In this part of the book, Dr. Beck gets a very suspicious email and in it he finds Elizabeth. Yes, Elizabeth. She just might not be dead after all, but he is bound and determined to figure out if it is or not. The night he got this email something else happened, his wife's best friend gets shot. This was very odd to me because it was a day after he just went to visit her for the first time in eight years. The police think its him because they found rubber gloves at his home with gunpowder on them. He later figures out that they are coming in to arrest him at his office, and because he wants to find Elizabeth, he runs. Since he ran he was in a lot of trouble, and he is now riding to Bronx with a known drug dealer in the back of a car.

Catching Fire 301-391

The monkeys then attacked. Finnick, Katniss, and Peeta had their backs to each other to form a triangle. It seemed as if it took forever to fight off the monkeys. One attacked Peeta and the little morphling jumped for the monekey and saved Peeta. They then decided to go back to the beach. The next day somebody stumbled up onto the other side of the beach. It was Johanna, Beetee, and Wiress. Wiress helped them figure out that the arena was a clock. In each wedge something bad would happen throughout each day. Since Beetee knew how to blow stuff up with his special wire, he had an idea. He strung the wire from the tree where the lightening struck to the sea, well that was his original plan. As Katniss and Johanna were stringing out the wire, something hit Katniss in the side of her head. Johanna then pounced on her and cut her arm. The career tributes decided she was dead so they left her alone and went to go track down somebody else. The spacecraft came and picked Katniss up. She woke up in this padded room. After she blacked out a few times, she went into the hallway and heard voices. The voices were the head of the gamemakers, Haymitch, and Finnick. They told her everything about their plan to overthrow the Capital. Katniss freaked out about what Haymitch said and she got sent back to her padded room. When she gained consciousness again, she talked to Finnick for a while. From then on, she ignored anybody else who came to talk to her, or just pretended she was sleeping. Finally, one voice she recognized caught her attention. It ended up being Gale. He told her that there was no longer a District Twelve and that he saved Prim and her mother.

Catching Fire 201-300

Everybody started running. Katniss was trying to help Peeta run. She wouldn't leave him there, because she decided to devote herself to only keeping Peeta alive. They both tripped and fell and could no longer see Finnick in front of them. In less than a second, Finnick came back to get them and he had Mags on his shoulder. Finnick couldn't carry Mags and Peeta at the same time. Mags sacrificed her life, so she turned around, went into the fog, and died. They all made it to the beach and laid in the water. It helped take the acid out of their bodies. Shortly after they arrived they noticed something different. Peeta decided to go get water from a near tree. Finnick and Katniss could feel something staring at them. They looked up and around the jungle and noticed hundreds of orange monkeys just sitting there in the trees. Katniss yelled for Peeta to come back and not make any sudden movements for the monkeys would attack them.

Something Borrowed pg 73-148

Something Borrowed just keeps getting better and better. I absolutely love this book. Rachel and Dex had hooked up after Rachel's 30th birthday, and now her and Dex are having an affair against Darcy. I kinda feel sorry for Darcy because she has no clue that this is going on, but I feel so happy for Rachel because for once it's not Darcy stealing things from Rachel. Rachel deserves to be with Dex, because they are the cutest couple. This book is so intense and it gets me all flustered, because I want for Dex to dump Darcy so badly. Rachel and Dex have strong feelings for each other now, but I haven't found out yet if he will dump Darcy. I'm crossing my fingers! I really am rooting for Rachel, because she never got what she wanted. If Rachel said something, Darcy would take it. I'm really hoping that Rachel and Dex will become an item, and that Dex will finally dump Darcy. I can't wait to read more to find out what will happen next! I am also excited to watch the movie after I get done reading the book. I love this book!

Marcelo In the Real World 1-100

Marcelo is an autistic teenager. He’s getting ready to go into his senior year at Paterson, the school he attends for kids with cognitive disorder. He hears music inside his head, and he calls it the Internal Music, or IM. It’s not really a song, but it’s more like a rhythm that he hears sometimes. His father wants to send him to a “regular” high school so he gets a taste of the “real world”. Marcelo doesn’t want to go to a public high school because he’s been guaranteed the job of stable boy for the horses at Paterson. His dad also wants him to work in the mailroom of his law firm this summer. He tells Marcelo that he has his choice to work in the mailroom, and then go to Paterson, or he can skip working in the mailroom, but he would have to attend a public high school next school year. Marcelo chooses to work in the law firm. Marcelo gets to work and meets his coworker, Jasmine. Jasmine isn’t particularly happy to be working in the mailroom either, and she isn’t happy that Marcelo is working with her. She wanted to work with her friend, Belinda, but since Marcelo’s dad kind of runs the law firm, Marcelo got the job instead. In the law firm, he also meets Wendell. Wendell is the son of another worker there. Wendell is very arrogant, big-headed, and, in the words of Jasmine, he thinks he’s “God’s gift to women.” Wendell tries to teach Marcelo a thing or two about women, dating, and beauty, but Marcelo’s just not interested. He’s more interested in religion. He visits his rabbi often, and, as autistic kids usually have one special “focus”, his is religion.

If I Stay pgs. 201-234

In the last 34 pages of If I Stay Mia discusses some more flashbacks. One of the main ones was the barbecue her family had. She felt true happiness in that point in her life. In the end Adam goes to Mia, and starts talking to her while bawling hysterically. Somehow, Mia ends up back in her own body. With all her strength, she squeezes his hand, and that’s how the story ends.

If I Stay pgs.101-200

In the next 100 pages, we learn a lot more about Mia and Adam. Adam shows up at the hospital. This sends Mia into frenzy; the fact that she can’t physically be with him kills her. The fact that Adam can’t go in to see Adam kills him. He tries a bunch of ways to get into her ICU room. In the end an old band member of Mia’s dad’s wife shows up, and sets the nurses straight, and lets Adam see Mia. At first sight Adam is taken back by the sigh of Mia. He eventually sits down and mutters “Please don’t make me write a song.” And we learn that Adam would never write Mia a song, unless, in his words, she cheated on him. There was a lot of old memories in these 100 pages from Adam and Mia’s relationship.

They get in an arguement and Mia walks away and Adam knows he has to let her go.

Something Borrowed 1-72

Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin is an outstanding book so far. It caught my attention in the very first few chapters. Rachel and Darcy are best friends, and Darcy has always been the prettier one and the one that always got what she wanted. Darcy always had a boyfriend and there was never a day she didn’t have one. For Rachel things were different, she didn’t always have a boyfriend, and she was always not as good as Darcy. When Rachel and Darcy were young they always thought about their 30th birthdays and how they would have children and a wonderful husband. For Rachel she had none of this on her 30th birthday, but Darcy was younger than Rachel and was engaged to Dex. Dex was one of Rachel’s friends that she introduced to Darcy. The night of Rachel’s 30th birthday will forever change the feelings between Rachel and Dex. I really can’t wait to see what will happen next. This book is really interesting and it keeps you wanting to know more and what will happen next.

Tell No One 303-370

This book was a very good book. It was a very interesting book and it kept me wanting to know more. The ending of this book really kind of freaked me out, but overall this book was a really good book and it was very entertaining. Tell No One was a good book but with what happened in the end it was really freaky but it kept you going to see what would happen next because it was so interesting.

Catching Fire 101-200

Gale got caught with a turkey on his belt. He told Thread, the executioner, that the turkey had wandered through the fence and he killed it so it wouldn’t harm anybody, which is still a crime. Gale was whipped in the town square where everybody could see him. As Katniss saw this, she raced up to the stage and jumped in front of the whip as it was coming down to whip Gale again. It hit her across the cheek. Haymitch witnessed this and he got Thread to stop. Katniss’ mother and Prim healed Gale. One night as Katniss was watching TV, she saw that there was going to be something special for the Quarter Quell. Two of the past victors from each district would enter the games this year. Since Katniss was the only girl victor, she would obviously have to go. Haymitch was picked at the reaping and Peeta volunteered to take his spot. After the reaping, all three of them were rushed to the train station to get on a train and head to the Capital. No chance was given them to say their goodbyes. After a day or two at the Capital, they had to make an appearance in chariots up and around the Capital. Peeta and Katniss, again, made a breathtaking appearance. Everybody stared at how beautiful they looked. When this was all finished, the next morning, they had to meet at breakfast. They discussed their strategy in winning the games. All Katniss cared about was keeping Peeta alive. Haymitch decided that they try and join up with the Careers, so they had allies. It would be much easier to kill others, if you traveled in a pack. Peeta and Katniss were down at the training center, and only about half the tributes showed up. They decided to split up and see who they can get or what they can do to form allies.

Where She Went 1-100

This is told from Adam’s point of view instead of Mia’s. Adam and Mia broke up shortly after she got out of the hospital and Adam’s band took off and Mia went to Julliard and is now great cellist. Adam is in New York for a tour with his band Shooting Star. Adam gets an interview with a news reporter name Vanessa LeGrande from a magazine and she asks him questions about him and his new movie star girlfriend and someone finds out about Mia and asks about her. Adam flips out on her and has to leave the restaurant. Albous, Shooting Star’s manager tells him that he will meet him at the airport the next morning when they get ready to leave for their long tour. That night he decides to go to Mia’s concert and afterwards she wants to talk to him. He tells her she had a great concert and then leaves but she follows after him and they go out to eat at one of her favorite restaurants in town and talk like old friends. Adam is just happy to have the old Mia back in his life.

Tell No One pg 202-302

This book just keeps getting better and better. I love how it is full of suspense and keeps you attentive to what is happening. It makes you want to find out what will happen next in the book and keep you entertained. This book is a really great book and ever since he saw Elizabeth on that camera it has gotten better and better. I feel bad for Dr. Beck because of his horrible loss and because of how he lost her. I know that it'd be hard going through what all he went through. Just having the suspicion that his wife may actually be alive is very suspenseful. Not knowing is sometimes the hardest part, because you want to believe that she is alive, but you don't want to deal with the fact that she may in fact be dead. He has gone through so much that it is hard to believe that she could actually be alive. This book is full of tension and is a very compelling story. I can't wait to find out what happens in the ending.

In there awaits President Snow and he isn't too happy. Katniss knows that he is most likely going to talk to her about what she did at the games, showing up the Capital. President Snow says that she better act like she is in love with Peeta more than ever and to make him believe that it's actually true. He knew that Gale had kissed her in the woods one day, though she never told anybody. If she doesn't do as told, President Snow threatened to kill Gale, his family, and her family. Peeta and Katniss are on the train waiting to arrive in District Eleven. When they arrive and step on stage, Peeta gives is normal speech, but Katniss gives and unexpected one. She gives her sympathy to Thresh's family and of course Rue's. When Squeak got to the prison to try to persuade them to let Sofia out, the prison guard raped her. Sofia got out of prison, and she got to go work for the mayor’s family, which to her is even worse than prison, because the mayor’s white. Squeak soon started singing. Her voice isn’t as big and powerful as Shug’s, but Shug wants Squeak to sing with her. Shug leaves for a while, and comes back at Christmas with a husband. Mr. _____ is jealous, because it’s no big secret that he loves Shug. Celie finds a letter from Nettie in the mailbox from her sister, Nettie. She’s really surprised, because she thought Nettie was dead. Well, she reads the letter and discovers that Nettie has been writing to her for a long time, but Mr. _____ is hiding the letters. She finds the letters in Mr. _____’s room and reads them all. When Nettie left Celie’s house after she visited years ago, Mr. _____ followed her out of town, and tried to kiss her. Nettie kicked him away, and that made him mad, so he told Nettie that Celie would never hear from him again. That’s why he’s been hiding the letters all these years. Celie finds out from the letters that Nettie left and needed a place to stay, so she went to the Reverend’s house. When she gets there, she notices that his kids look so much like Celie. She came to the conclusion that these were Celie’s kids that they had adopted. Well, he was about to go on a mission trip to Africa, so they invited Nettie to come along. She went to take care of the children and teach the children in Africa. When she’s there, the Reverend’s wife realizes that her children look a lot like Nettie. She thinks that her husband cheated on her a long time ago, and these are actually Nettie’s children. Nettie swears to her that this is not true, but she doesn’t believe her. Later that night, the reverend’s wife wakes up in the middle of the night, says she believes Nettie, and then she dies. In Africa, Olivia (the reverend’s daughter) goes to school. She’s the only girl there, because in this particular area, girls have basically no rights. All the boys at school exclude her because she’s a girl. Finally, another girl, Tashi, starts to come to the school. The people start to get used to the idea of girls learning with boys. There’s also a huge revelation in one of the letter’s from Nettie. The man that they thought was their father is not their father at all. He’s actually their stepfather. Their father was hanged. Celie decides she doesn’t believe in God anymore, because what kind of a God would do this to her?

The Hunger Games 205-374

Rue and Katniss were planning a way to get rid of the Career's supplies. They knew that with no supplies, they probably wouldn't survive. Rue's job was to build campfires to make it look like that's where her and Katniss we're camping out at. Katniss went to where the Careers were camping out at, which was by the lake. They had all of their food and supplies in a big pile. Katniss had watched Foxface climb the pile in a simple manner. She realized that there were bombs everywhere, and if she stepped in the wrong place, with enough force they would explode and she would be blown to pieces. Katniss shot one of her arrows at the pile and all of the bombs went off. After she took care of the supplies, she went to go look for Rue. She finally found Rue on the ground in a net, which was a trap set by the Careers. The boy from District One is who killed her. He shot an arrow piercing through her side. Katniss shot an arrow right through his throat, then he died. Katniss wanted to do something special to Rue, since they were allies. She ended up covering her completely in flowers. Katniss then went and followed the stream until she heard somebody say her name. She didn't know where it was coming from, then Peeta tried sitting up. He was along the bank of the stream all camouflaged. He could hardly move, so Katniss washed him up and took care of him for quite some time. Cato had cut Peeta's leg all the way down to the bone. The Capital were setting out bags, which contained stuff from every district that they needed to live. Katniss knew that if she didn't get the bag that was labeled District Twelve, Peeta would die. She took her chances and set out to go get the bag. When she got there, she stayed hidden for awhile. Foxface first ran out, then Katniss decided to take her chances and go after the bag. The last Career Tribute, a girl, sent a knife flying straight for Katniss. She dodged it, then another. The girl came running for Katniss and before she knew it, she was trying to carve out her lips. Somebody with a great force then came and took the girl off of her. Thresher killed her and then decided to let Katniss go, only for this once. Before she knew it, she was back in the cave with Peeta. She was doctoring him up trying to save his leg, let alone his life. After Thresher died, Peeta and Katniss decided to go after Cato. While they were on their way there, they stopped to hunt and gather berries. Foxface stole some berries and she died because they were poisonous. When they got the lake, they heard somebody coming and it was Cato with a pack of wild dogs after him. Cato ended up dying and the games were won by the District Twelve tributes. After the interviews and watching the recaps of the games, they were on their way home back to District Twelve. Before getting to their destination, Peeta found out that Katniss was pretending to be in love with him the entire time throughout the games. He was heartbroke. As the train stopped at District Twelve, Peeta decided this was their last chance of being "in love."

All of a sudden Adam rushes out of the ICU telling Mia he will be right back and asking her to wait for him. Mia knows he will be let back in because Willow is in charge now and she is happy about that. Kim goes in to visit Mia and tells her about all the things Mia has already witnessed. Kim, of course, doesn't know this, but Mia likes how she can just talk to her like normal instead of acting weird about it. She tells Mia about all the people that have come to the hospital to see her and that she does still have a family. Mia thinks back to a time when her, her family, and her friends were all together and she knew she was lucky to be that happy but everything is different now. The only reason Mia is staying now is because of Adam. She is waiting for him to come back because she figures that is the least she can do for him after all he's done for her. Adam brought back his ipod and let Mia listen to a cello piece by one of the bands she loves. Then she feels a pain and she is back in her body laying on the bed again. Brooke starts singing and some of the nurses head out to listen to her and Adam runs as fast as he can into the ICU but as soon as he gets close to Mia he gets taken away by the security guards. Mia’s family’s friend, Willow, works at this hospital and wants Adam to get to see Mia too. Mia realizes though that since Willow is with her that Teddy must be gone too. As soon as she finds this out something goes wrong in her body and they nurses have to take her in for an emergency surgery and Mia knows that it is because she is starting to give up and doesn’t think she can do it anymore. She is back in the ICU and Gran and Gramps come in to visit her again and she loves hearing Gramps talk to her because he understands what is going on and that it is her choice. Adam comes back to visit Mia and Willow lets him go in and see her and he feels terrible since right after he saw her was when she had to go into emergency surgery. Adam gets in to talk to her and all he can say to her is please, and he also tells her not to make him write a song, because he said the only time he would be able to write a song is if something bad happened.
