Marcelo In the Real World 1-100
Marcelo is an autistic teenager. He’s getting ready to go into his senior year at Paterson, the school he attends for kids with cognitive disorder. He hears music inside his head, and he calls it the Internal Music, or IM. It’s not really a song, but it’s more like a rhythm that he hears sometimes. His father wants to send him to a “regular” high school so he gets a taste of the “real world”. Marcelo doesn’t want to go to a public high school because he’s been guaranteed the job of stable boy for the horses at Paterson. His dad also wants him to work in the mailroom of his law firm this summer. He tells Marcelo that he has his choice to work in the mailroom, and then go to Paterson, or he can skip working in the mailroom, but he would have to attend a public high school next school year. Marcelo chooses to work in the law firm. Marcelo gets to work and meets his coworker, Jasmine. Jasmine isn’t particularly happy to be working in the mailroom either, and she isn’t happy that Marcelo is working with her. She wanted to work with her friend, Belinda, but since Marcelo’s dad kind of runs the law firm, Marcelo got the job instead. In the law firm, he also meets Wendell. Wendell is the son of another worker there. Wendell is very arrogant, big-headed, and, in the words of Jasmine, he thinks he’s “God’s gift to women.” Wendell tries to teach Marcelo a thing or two about women, dating, and beauty, but Marcelo’s just not interested. He’s more interested in religion. He visits his rabbi often, and, as autistic kids usually have one special “focus”, his is religion.

Something Borrowed 1-72
Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin is an outstanding book so far. It caught my attention in the very first few chapters. Rachel and Darcy are best friends, and Darcy has always been the prettier one and the one that always got what she wanted. Darcy always had a boyfriend and there was never a day she didn’t have one. For Rachel things were different, she didn’t always have a boyfriend, and she was always not as good as Darcy. When Rachel and Darcy were young they always thought about their 30th birthdays and how they would have children and a wonderful husband. For Rachel she had none of this on her 30th birthday, but Darcy was younger than Rachel and was engaged to Dex. Dex was one of Rachel’s friends that she introduced to Darcy. The night of Rachel’s 30th birthday will forever change the feelings between Rachel and Dex. I really can’t wait to see what will happen next. This book is really interesting and it keeps you wanting to know more and what will happen next.
Tell No One 303-370
This book was a very good book. It was a very interesting book and it kept me wanting to know more. The ending of this book really kind of freaked me out, but overall this book was a really good book and it was very entertaining. Tell No One was a good book but with what happened in the end it was really freaky but it kept you going to see what would happen next because it was so interesting.

At dinnertime, Shug announces that she is leaving Mr. _____'s house, and she is going to live in Memphis. However, she’s not going by herself. She’s taking Celie and Squeak. After this news, Celie and Mr. _____ get into an all-out yelling match. Mr. _____ can’t believe she’s leaving him, but he can’t do anything in his power to make her stay. When they get to Shug’s house in Memphis, Celie needs something to do, so she starts sewing pants. Pretty soon, she starts to make a lot of pants, and she has a lot left over, so she makes a business. She’s got orders coming in, and this is how Celie earns her living. Sofia’s mother dies, and when Shug and Celie go back to the funeral, Celie sees Mr. _____ for the first time since she left him. Harpo tells her that Mr. _____ was a complete wreck after she left. He got even meaner and bitterer than he was. After he sent Celie the letters he’d been keeping from Nettie, though, he got better. Meanwhile, in Africa, Nettie ends up marrying Samuel, the reverend. Nettie and Celie’s stepdad, who they always believed to be their real dad, died. When he did, Nettie and Celie inherited his house. In a letter to Celie, Nettie says that Tashi ran away. Adam, Celie’s son, ran after her to find her because he’s in love with her. Two and a half months later, Adam and Tashi returned, and announced that they were going to be married. At the end of the book, Nettie, Adam, Olivia, and Samuel all come home. They’re finally all together, and Celie feels the youngest she’s ever felt.

When Squeak got to the prison to try to persuade them to let Sofia out, the prison guard raped her. Sofia got out of prison, and she got to go work for the mayor’s family, which to her is even worse than prison, because the mayor’s white. Squeak soon started singing. Her voice isn’t as big and powerful as Shug’s, but Shug wants Squeak to sing with her. Shug leaves for a while, and comes back at Christmas with a husband. Mr. _____ is jealous, because it’s no big secret that he loves Shug. Celie finds a letter from Nettie in the mailbox from her sister, Nettie. She’s really surprised, because she thought Nettie was dead. Well, she reads the letter and discovers that Nettie has been writing to her for a long time, but Mr. _____ is hiding the letters. She finds the letters in Mr. _____’s room and reads them all. When Nettie left Celie’s house after she visited years ago, Mr. _____ followed her out of town, and tried to kiss her. Nettie kicked him away, and that made him mad, so he told Nettie that Celie would never hear from him again. That’s why he’s been hiding the letters all these years. Celie finds out from the letters that Nettie left and needed a place to stay, so she went to the Reverend’s house. When she gets there, she notices that his kids look so much like Celie. She came to the conclusion that these were Celie’s kids that they had adopted. Well, he was about to go on a mission trip to Africa, so they invited Nettie to come along. She went to take care of the children and teach the children in Africa. When she’s there, the Reverend’s wife realizes that her children look a lot like Nettie. She thinks that her husband cheated on her a long time ago, and these are actually Nettie’s children. Nettie swears to her that this is not true, but she doesn’t believe her. Later that night, the reverend’s wife wakes up in the middle of the night, says she believes Nettie, and then she dies. In Africa, Olivia (the reverend’s daughter) goes to school. She’s the only girl there, because in this particular area, girls have basically no rights. All the boys at school exclude her because she’s a girl. Finally, another girl, Tashi, starts to come to the school. The people start to get used to the idea of girls learning with boys. There’s also a huge revelation in one of the letter’s from Nettie. The man that they thought was their father is not their father at all. He’s actually their stepfather. Their father was hanged. Celie decides she doesn’t believe in God anymore, because what kind of a God would do this to her?
