Ailin spends many years with the Warners, and learns to love the children. She also gets along with the parents, and doesn’t fight the father anymore. The Warners move back to America, and they invite Ailin to go with them. She accepts without much thought, and decides she must tell her family about her decision. Big Uncle was disappointed in Ailin. Her mother’s reaction was that she was cried, and didn’t want Ailin to leave. She took a ship to America, and worked in Sacramento. On the ship she meant a man by the name of James, and becomes close friends with him. Ailin also started cooking Chinese food for the Warners every night. She eventually ran out of Chinese ingredients, and they took her to Chinatown to get more ingredients. There she meets James again, and they keep meeting every week. Eventually the Warners decide to go back to China, and Ailin gives them big news. She’s going to stay in America, and run a restaurant with James.
