A Voice in the Wind 200-300
Julia and Claudius get married against what Julia wants. She doesn't want to get married to Claudius at all, she thinks he is too old for her. Decimus wanted Claudius and Julia to have a child right away so that it would teach Julia that she didn't need to be so wild. Hadassah would tell stories of her religion to Julia, but Julia didn't hear the stories like Hadassah wanted her to. Hadassah tries to help Julia see the good in Claudius but she wants nothing to do with him. When Claudius would send for Julia, Julia would say she had a headache or make up some kind of excuse and send in Hadassah instead. Marcus went to visit Julia and Claudius and found out that Hadassah was being sent to Claudius's room and found himself feeling jealous. Hadassah felt bad about going to see Claudius all the time but also felt bad for him because Julia paid no attention to him. Julia runs off to watch something without Claudius and he went after her and ended up falling off his horse and dying. Julia felt really bad about this and now thinks that all Caludiu's servants would rather her be dead. Atretes was being taken to the arena to fight with the Romans. He had been training to fight for a long time but still had two months left when he first went in to fight. He killed three men in the arena though and proved himself to everyone.

Something Blue pgs. 1-100
The book after Something Borrowed is written from Darcy's point of view, instead of Rachel's. It starts right after she found out about Rachel and Dex. She also tells how her and Marcus's affair really started, and that it's been going on for almost as long as Dex and Rachel's. She also told of how she had cheated on Dex with two other guys also. When Darcy told Marcus about the baby, he didn't act happy. Darcy was upset, and Marcus suggested abortion. Even though she's pro-choice, she said she wasn't going to abort her baby. They also had their first doctor's appointment for the baby. The doctor said the due date was going to be May 2nd, which was Dex's birthday. Darcy and Marcus went furniture shopping together, and they see Rachel and Dex there. Darcy notices they both look tanner, and realizes that they want on (what was supposed to be) Dex and Darcy's honeymoon to Hawaii. She's upset about this, and Marcus understands and comforts her. Darcy also turns 30. Marcus forgets her birthday, which is bad, because Darcy is so high-maintenance and Dex would always remember and do the things Darcy wanted him to. Darcy also replaces Claire as her best friend. Darcy expects Dex or Rachel to call and apologize on her birthday, but they never do. Darcy also talks of some hints of doubts about this relationship with Marcus, and not getting married to Dex.

The Chosen One 101-212
Joshua went to the Prophet to tell him that he wanted to be with Kyra. Joshua was beaten and when they brought Kyra in, she was beaten also. Kyra then decided that she couldn't go through with any of this. Her mothers and Laura took her to town to shop for wedding dress material. They returned and Kyra had to go on a date with Uncle Hyrum. He tried kissing her, but Father saved her. When Patrick came by the next Wednesday, he asked who beat her. She told him everything about everyone. After she was done, he told her that they could drive away right now and never come back. They tried to escape, but the God Squad caught them. They ended up killing Patrick and Kyra was sent home with no punishment. Everyone told her that she was going to have to go through with this no matter what. The God Squad left Patrick's vehicle right in front of her home so that it would remind her of him and everything that would happen to her if she would try to run away again. Before Patrick died, he told her where the spare key is and he gave her his cell phone. He told her all she had to do was reach service and dial 911. Later that night, she found the key and drove away. She reached service and called 911 and they sent out squad cars to help her. They got Kyra and took her into town to stay with Samantha, who housed children like Kyra for awhile. Kyra met her daughter Madison. Madison talked about Kyra going to school with her. Samantha told Kyra that some kids have stayed with her for about a month at the most, but she ashed Kyra if she wanted to stay longer. After Kyra went to bed that night, all she could think about was her family, Patrick, and Joshua. She woke up screaming and asking for them. She knew her new life would be hard, but she realized that she would be better off without being a part of the Chosen Ones.

The Chosen One 1-100
Kyra is always breaking the rules. The Prophet comes to her house and tells her family that she is The Chosen One. She is the one chosen to marry Brother Hyrum, her sixty year old uncle. She doesn't want to marry her own family because that's disgusting! Her Father has several other wives along with a lot of children. They don't live in regular towns. They live in what they call The Compound. Kyra already has a guy that she really likes, Joshua. He is sixteen, and once he turns seventeen, he can choose women to marry. He chooses Kyra already. Kyra didn't exactly tell him that she is already chosen to marry Uncle Hyrum. She is so disgusted that she doesn't want him to know. Kyra sends her Father to go talk to the Prophet, to see if he can change the Prophet's decision. Once he returned, Kyra already knew that it didn't work. One night when Mother Sarah and Kyra were preparing supper, Uncle Hyrum just showed up. He said that he wanted to get to know Kyra before they got married. Later that night, as he was leaving, he told Kyra that she needed to be obedient and obey The Prophet. If she didn't, then she wouldn't go to heaven. Kyra then decided that she wasn't going to marry him. She wanted nothing to do with this. She wanted to run away. She thought that that was the best idea. She could get a ride from Patrick, the driver of the mobile library on wheels, to take her to town. She wanted to marry Joshua because she loved him, but she knew that it wasn't possible, so she wanted to run away with her mother, sisters, and Joshua.

Shattering Glass 101-215
The next pages of Shattering Glass Ronna and Young begin to date. They also continue with their goal to make Simon into a popular kid, and we learn the real reason they’re doing this is to make Simon be voted for class favorite. Simone does some digging around when he goes into the computers to change classes for Young, and learns Rob isn’t using his real last name, and they find that fishy. They use their chance and look in old newspapers to find Rob’s dad is in jail. When Young asks Rob what happened to his dad Rob says he died, and he was the best father ever. Young stopped questioning because he knew Rob couldn’t face the fact of what his father did. Simone starts doing things like messing up the bells so the high school can get out of school, and putting a cow in the lunchroom. He becomes the “class clown.” Then the realization is that Young hates Simone. He thinks Rob is pushing around Simone, and Simone is losing who he actually is, and is just becoming what Rob wants him to be. Simone likes Coop though, and since Coop needs and 18 on the ACT to get his scholarship, Simone gets a fake I.D., and takes it for him so he can get into college. One night Bob gets his class ring stolen. Young told him to press charges, but Rob said he couldn’t because he didn’t put up a fight. Which comes as a big surprise since Bob has an attitude of a “tough guy,” and normally wouldn’t let that happen. Simone begins seeing through the guys, and realizing that they’re not as tough and cool as they think they are, but he doesn’t say anything and goes along with what they tell him. Then Rob tells Young he has to break up with Ronna, so Simone can ask her to the favorites dance. This breaks Young’s heart, but since he doesn’t have a backbone when it comes to Rob, he goes out with the class tramp, and word gets to Ronna. She comes over to tell Young it’s over, and he tells her why he actually did that, but she still leaves because he chose Rob over her. It breaks his heart, and he tells her at a party he misses her, and starts crying. Ronna still won’t have anything of it, and goes to the favorites dance with Simone. At the favorites dance they announce the class favorites, and they all get an award. Coop-most athletic, Young-most likely to succeed, Bob-most handsome, Simone-wittiest, and Rob-class favorite. Rob figures out that Simone hacked into the computers and changed things around, so he tells them to go into their “meeting room,” which is basically the coach’s room. There Rob starts hurting Simone, and pushing him around. Then things really get out of hand. Simone starts telling everyone why Rob’s dad was in jail, which is that he molested Rob for almost half of his life, and his mom never did anything about it. Simone calls Rob out for “liking it.” He also basically tells everyone else their weak, pathetic, and fakes. The boys have enough and beat Simone to death. Coop tries to stop them, and ends up getting a blow to the knee, ending his whole football career. I really liked this book, and the way it was written.

Shattering Glass 1-100
In the first 100 pages of Shattering Glass we’re introduced to Simon Glass, the nerdy kid at school everyone hates for no logical reason. We’re also introduced to Coop, Young, Bob, and the leader of the crew: Rob. These guys are at the top of the popularity list, and Simon’s at the bottom. They start by Lance, the popular king until Rob knocked him off, bullying Simon. They think that, even though they hate him, it was really low. Rob decides he wants a challenge, and his challenge is to make Simon popular. They take Simon shopping; get him a whole new wardrobe, and a haircut. Then they take him to the beach to play volleyball, and Lance is there. Lance continues to be a jerk to Simon, but Simon brushes it off and laughs about it. They start to realize he could be known as the “funny one” of the group. He sits with them at lunch, and they continue to try and make him popular. The end of the 100 pages is at the homecoming dance. Young, the narrator of the book and Rob’s wingman, took his dream girl to the dance. They all hear of the surprise that’s going to happen, but no one knows yet. Throughout the book they drop hints that they murder Simon, so basically, I’m just waiting to see how they murder him, and who does it.
