Something Borrowed. P 1-322

Rachel and Darcy have been friends forever. Growing up together though, Darcy has always been the one in the spotlight getting attention while Rachel is more kept to herself. So for Darcy plans a surprise birthday party for Rachel. Everyone drinks is having a good time and Darcy gets drunk so her fiance Dex says she should just go home and gets her a cab. Rachel is walking out when Dex sees her and he asks her if she wants to go and get a few drinks. They end up going out and drinking more and on the cab ride home, they end up making out and hooking up. They decide its best to just lie to Darcy until they figure everything out. Rachel feels aweful becuase she would never do anything horrible and although she does have feelings for Dex, she would never want to hurt Darcy or take her happiness away. When Rachel talks with Dex, he tells her that he cares about her and doesnt regret what happened between the two of them. Rachel feels to bad because Darcy is engaged to him and tries to shrug it off. Then Darcy tells Rachel that Marcus a friend of hers wants to go out on a date. They do and it ends up going quite well. People start thinking that Marcus and Rachel are together and they all go on vacation to the hamptons. Rachel has to leave early to go back for work and Dex tells her he wants to meet up with her to talk. He comes over and they end up doing stuff this time. Rachel likes him and is startign tto think that her being happy is important too. She ends up really caring about Dex and wants him to end it with Darcy so they can be together but doesnt want the break up to because of her. Darcy doesnt seem to care about Dex that much and it irriateats Rachel that they get to be together when she loves him. Finally they are all hanging otu and Rachel tells Dex that he needs to choose. And if he cant the two of them are over. He says he cant call things off now becuase it would hurt Darcy too much. Rachel is really upset and decides to go visit Ethan in London to help things out. She tells him what happened.He tells her not to go to the wedding so she just stays in London for awhile. When Rachel gets home, Dex tells rachel that he actually did call it off. While they are talking about things, Darcy comes over. To avoid conflict, Dex hides. Darcy tells Rachel that she is pregnant with Marcus's baby. Darcy then notices Dexs watch and finds Dex in the closet. She says that she is very hurt that Rachel would be able to do something like that to her. Especially when they are suppose to be best friends. She tells her the friendship is over and then leaves. Rachel and dex then decide that they will continue to see eachother and see what happens.
