The Art of Racing in the Rain 201-300

Denny and Enzo go to Eve’s funeral, but Trish and Maxwell say they’re not welcome there. They think he raped Annika, and they tell him to leave. He refuses to leave, and gets to see Zoe, but then cops come and take him away. Trish and Maxwell got a restraining order on Denny, but Zoe always wanted to see Enzo, so Enzo stayed with them part of the time. Denny thought many times about just giving up on getting custody, but he kept fighting for Zoe’s sake. Denny ended up getting every other weekend and Wednesdays after school with Zoe. Enzo was hit by a car, but he lived. Now he had very bad hips and sometimes he could hardly walk. Denny was offered a job test-driving Ferraris in Italy, but he couldn’t take it because of everything that was going on. The people told him they’d give him time to get everything sorted out, and the job would still be there if he wanted it. Denny saw Annika at a coffee shop and talked to her. Annika started crying, and Denny thinks she’s feeling bad about her accusations. The trial for custody of Zoe just started.
