Darcy and Rachel have been best friends since the fifth grade. They did/do everything together! Darcy was always the more popular and prettier one. She always got what she wanted. For the most part she always had a boyfriend or if she didn't, she had her eye on somebody. Rachel, on the other hand, was kind of the opposite. She never had a boyfriend until she was a senior in high school. Ever since Rachel and Darcy were little, they had talked about what their lives would be like when they turned thirty. Rachel thought that she would have the perfect job and husband, with three kids, but that didn't work out so well for her. She had none of those. She worked at a large New York law firm and she hated her job. She was turning thirty and she didn't even have a husband, let alone a boyfriend. Darcy had everything that she wanted. She was an event planner and she just got offered the job, and she was engaged to Dex. Rachel is the one who introduced the two. After Darcy throws Rachel her thirtieth birthday party, Rachel realizes she has feelings for Dex and Dex has feelings for her. They don't want to tell Darcy about anything because they know that she will be furious when they find out, but then again, Rachel considers how Darcy gets everything she wants. Rachel basically decides to suck everything up and be the best maid of honor possible.
