Carry Me Home 151-258

Earwig’s family receives a letter from the government saying that Jimmy has been found, and he’s alive. Jimmy finally comes home. When he gets off the plane, Earwig doesn’t even recognize him. He’s so skinny and weak compared to the Jimmy that left 3 years earlier. He returns with his friend, Floyd, who only has one arm now. Jimmy is constantly screaming in the night and he gets really jittery when he hears loud noises. Jimmy and Floyd start drinking a lot. It gets bad to the point that they’re drunk nearly every night. Jimmy gets his life back on track again after Eva Leigh tells him he just has to keep living. He’ll never forget what happened, but he has to go on with his life. Jimmy and Eva Leigh start getting pretty close, and Earwig suspects that they like each other. Floyd keeps getting worse. One night, he tries to kill himself, but Jimmy talks him out of it and gets his life back on track too. They also discover that his wife, Mary, is expecting a baby. Molly, Jimmy’s ex-fiance, comes back. She tells him that she’s sorry and she still loves him. However, he has feelings for Eva Leigh now. He has to leave and sort out his feelings. After a week of being gone, he comes back and proposes to Eva Leigh. Earwig also makes plans to move out on his own. Mary has her baby, and life is good for everyone again.
