Shattering Glass 101-200
Glass was revealed as the guy in the Wolverine costume at the Homecoming. He ended up kissing the Homecoming queen, Blair Crews, and dancing with her. Rob was satisfied with himself because he came up with the whole idea. Coop takes the ACT, and he knows he has to get at least an 18 to play college football. Young and Ronna start to get a little more serious. Young even went to spend a day with Ronna’s family, and then they slept together. Rob came up with a new plan to see if Simon truly is popular. He want to get Glass elected as Class Favorite. Glass doesn’t act all too interested, but he doesn’t object, either. Since Coop was so worried about the ACT, Glass is going to take it for him. He made a fake ID and he’s going to pretend to be Coop. Young thinks it’s a bad idea, but Coop wants to pass so badly, he agrees. Glass and Young go to try to find out more about Rob’s past. They find something, but the book doesn’t say what it is. It just says they’ll never speak of it again. Rob convinces Young to break up with Ronna so Glass can take Ronna to the Favorites dance. In order for him to get class favorite, he has to have the best date there. Rob assures Young that he’ll be able to get her back when it’s all over with. However, he has to make the breakup seem real, and he can’t clue Ronna in. He went to “break up” with Ronna, and she broke down, so he told her the truth. That made her even more mad, and she said she’d never take him back. She couldn’t believe he would put this above her feelings. Also as part of the deal, Young now has to go out with the school slut, because Rob says so. Rob’s starting to get very demanding and controlling, and if anyone does something he doesn’t like, he freaks out. Glass passed the ACT for Coop, and he gets signed to play for TCU. They all go to the Favorites dance. Young ends up going by himself, and Ronna goes with Glass.
