The Fault In Our Stars 101-200

Hazel goes through a period where she gets really sick. She's in the ICU, and she learns that her lungs have gotten even worse. The trip to Amsterdam obviously has to be postponed until she's better. But in the meantime, Augustus gets another letter from Peter Van Houten, and the trip is still good with him. However, one of Hazel's doctors thinks that she shouldn't travel, which really devastates her. A few weeks later, Hazel's mom ends up convincing the doctor that she should go to Amsterdam, so the trip is back on. The morning that they leave for Amsterdam, when Hazel and her mom go to pick up Augustus, they hear him fighting with his mom. They don't acknowledge it, and he never says anything else about it, so they sort of forget about it. On the plane to Amsterdam, Augustus tells Hazel that he is in love with her. She doesn't say it back, but you kind of get the idea that she feels the same way. She just doesn't want to hurt him. When they got to Amsterdam, Augustus and Hazel went on a very romantic date. They always have really good conversations when they're together, and they just keep falling for each other. The following day, Hazel asked Augustus about his girlfriend who had died from cancer. The story was really sad, because he didn't even like the girl that much. He liked her at first, but the tumor on her brain had turned her into a very rude and hostile person, but he couldn't break up with her because she was dying. That same day, they go to visit Peter Van Houten. When they get there, he refuses to answer their questions. He only told them he would answer their questions because he didn't think they would ever actually make trip to Amsterdam. He was very rude and he yelled a lot. This upsets Hazel a lot, and she runs out of Van Houten's house in the middle of their meeting. Hazel and Augustus head to the Anne Frank House. At first, Hazel is told she shouldn't go because there are a lot of steep stairs, and she can't handle it, but she goes in anyway.
