Such Wicked Intent 1-40

The Frankenstein house was dark and gloomy after Konrad's death an everybody was handling it in different ways. Victor spaced himself away from everybody in the house and enjoyed being alone thinking about what happened and he felt like it was his fault. Victor decides to burn the Dark Library and puts all the books into the fire and leaves. The next day Elizabeth and Victor where down in the library seeing the burned remains of all the books. Victor spots a book that seemed to be completely untouched by the fire. He picks it up and burns his hand and he finds out its a metal casing that looks like a book. He opens it and inside he reads about how he can enter the spirit world and talk to the dead. Wanting to see Konrad so bad he follows directions and builds a swinging pendulum with his little brother helping him. He finishes it and takes it up stairs and Elizabeth asks what he is doing. He tells her and she does not believe him and so he shows her and without any help the pendulum swings faster and faster pointing at letters for them to write down. They both write down all the letters and it seems to be all just random gibberish until he looked closer and within all the letters clearly written many times was the phrase raise me raise me. They go to the chapel in the house that has been untouched for years and find a secret passage in the ceiling where his great uncle kept the elixir to enter the spirit world. Henry, Elizabeth, and Victor dumbfounded by the discovery decide to try it. Victor takes it and lays on the couch and wakes up in the spirit world.
